Workplace giving campaigns are the simplest, most efficient and effective way to give. Everyone benefits – businesses, donors, member organizations – and ultimately, the whole Greater Milwaukee community. Payroll deduction provides a convenient way to spread giving throughout the year.
You can provide Milwaukee Achiever with critical funding when you participate in the Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee or United Way giving campaigns at your workplace. Please ask your HR representative or your charitable contribution coordinator for instructions on how to make a designated gift.
Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee
Milwaukee Achiever is proud to be a member of the Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee federation.
Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee supports local nonprofit organizations with missions dedicated to social justice, the environment and animal welfare. They partner with businesses that share a passion for these issues and understand the importance of supporting local nonprofits. Together they help employees give to members through payroll deduction.
As one of the only direct service providers of literacy services, Milwaukee Achiever is proud to offer local donors the opportunity to support the important cause of adult education. Funds designated to Milwaukee Achiever via Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee are especially valuable because they represent a rare source of unrestricted revenue that can be channeled to the programming most in need.

You can double your donation’s impact through a Matching Gifts program. Many companies encourage their employees to make charitable donations through a corporate gift matching program. The employer will match personal donations with a company contribution. Please contact your employer to find out if your company matches charitable gifts.
Please remember to ask your employer for a Matching Gift Form, follow the instructions provided and submit the completed form with your contribution to Milwaukee Achiever Literacy Services. Remember, some companies also match gifts from retirees and spouses.
"I work for a company that offers gift matching for the employees that choose to support nonprofit organizations. Milwaukee Achiever Literacy Services was introduced to me through my daughter. She talked passionately about what they do to give back to the community. That intrigued me and helped me understand what Milwaukee Achiever stood for and how the volunteer base is built to enable that agency to pay it forward to folks wanting some help or something more for their lives."
