As the executive director of Milwaukee Achiever Literacy Services, I would like to personally welcome you to our Web site.

Dear Friends,

I am extremely pleased and excited to join Milwaukee Achiever Literacy Services as executive director. I have long admired the work that you do, and I feel very honored to be a part of this magnificent organization.

My own personal experience as an adult learner provides me with a unique perspective and appreciation for adult literacy services. Ten years after leaving high school, having completed only the ninth grade, I received my GED and went on to earn a BSW and then a master’s degree in social work administration.

I was blessed to have encountered people along my path who offered guidance and encouragement. I am grateful to now have the opportunity to “return the blessing” through my work here.

We are so fortunate to have an excellent and conscientious staff, dedicated board members, generous donors, caring volunteers, and committed learners who make up this fine organization. I look forward to working with all of you to assure the continued success of Milwaukee Achiever Literacy Services and to take it forward to the next level.

Sincerely,

Peg Palmer, MSW
Executive Director
